The Six Townships Community History Group is a non profit making group based in Bedlingtonshire. We publish local history books and DVD's. Our books have been published for over six years and are very popular throughout the North East.

Our heritage is important to us all. The younger folk of today take for granted the nails which hold our world together. The past must be remembered and not forgotten. The coalfields, colliery welfares, miners, brass bands, football clubs, the allotments, leek clubs, and also our dialect. We aim to help people keep pride in their coal mining roots. What has never died is peoples keenness to preserve and pass on the knowledge that has been passed on from family generation to generation.
